Anchor Contracting secures Brazil gigAnchor Contracting has secured a Letter of Intent for the delivery of a Mid Water Arch System (MWA) with Wellstream International. The buoy is bound for Brazil.
Anchor Contracting was bought last year by Inocean and have delivered 14 MWA systems to Wellstream International in Brazil earlier. All of these were meant for Petrobras projects, and were smaller than this MWA system. - This system is bigger than the ones for Petrobras: those were designed for one line per buoy, while this one is designed for two lines, CEO Jørgen Høgmoe at Anchor Contracting tells Oilinfo. This MWA system will be installed near FPSO "Nexus 1", which will be operated by OGX. - Brazil is an important market for us, and we are very happy to supply OGX in addition to Petrobras, says Høgmoe. The system will be delivered in mid-January 2011.
