HB Rentals builds Norsok modulesHB Rentals has invested NOK 4.6 million to build six modules in compliance to the Norsok standard, aimed at the Scandinavian market. Weatherford has already rented the first module. The Weatherford module will be installed on board "Rowan Gorilla VI". HB Rentals writes in a press release that the units are certified in compliance with Norsok and DNV 2.7-1. Weatherford has signed a lease agreement for one of the units for one year, worth NOK 372,000. - The Norwegian sector has the highest accommodation standards in the oil and gas industry, meaning that access to Norsok modules is a necessity for the marketplace. We have long experience in constructing, modifying and delivering these units - and providing maintenance and support through our Stavanger base, says George Emslie, managing director of HB Rentals' base in Aberdeen, in a press release. - Weatherford are long-standing clients and our continued work with them and major operators and contractors continues to fuel our fleet expansion plans. We have already invested £10million in growing our range of units in the last year and we will continue to produce new modules as demand continues to grow.
