Acergy secure deepwater gigAcergy have been awarded a contract by Total worht NOK 8 billion, for the deepwater development Clov offshore Angola.
The contract includes engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation on a significant deepwater project offshore West Africa. The company writes in a stock exchange release. According to Upstream, the contract is for the Clov project in Total's Block 17 offshore Angola. The contract includes subsea umbilical, risers and flow lines, in addition to other subsea components, for the Clov FPSO. Engineering will start immediately, while installation work will take place in 2012 using "Acergy Borealis", "Acergy Eagle" and "Acergy Legend". The Clov field will come on stream in 2012.
