Songa Mercur to SakhalinSonga Offshore has made an angreement with Gazflot to use the rig "Songa Mercur" for drilling on Sakhalin-field. The oil rig will be drilling on the field east of Russia this summer. The owner of the rig, Songa Offshore, and Gazprom's Gazflot has agreed to use the rig for 180 days. The rig is located in Singapore for the time being. The period of days mentioned also includes the rig being towed from Singapore on May 1st. When the work is completed "Songa Mercur" will be transported back to Singapore. Songa Offshore expects to earn approximately 60 million dollars on the deal. |
